Antelope Valley Care Center partners with Myndfull Care to provide technology-enabled mental health that helps improve brain function in patients. This is crucial as part of our effort for whole-body care and health, where mental health is an important part of healing.
Myndfull Care mental health training utilizes a process called neurofeedback, which is a safe, non-invasive, drug-free intervention that retrains the brain to function in a healthy and balanced manner.
What is Neurofeedback?
With Myndfull Care, a quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG) analysis is performed to identify areas of the brain that display atypical behavior patterns so that trained providers can correlate mental health concerns and symptoms with possible neuropsychological sources.
Sensors are placed on the scalp to detect brain waves. The individual then receives feedback, often through visual or auditory cues, on how their brain activity is changing. This feedback helps them learn to consciously regulate their brainwaves.
Evidence-based scientific research indicates that when neurofeedback is guided by both QEEG analysis and skilled clinical diagnosis, it is an effective tool to help improve various bodily functions related to the central nervous system and brain, including:
